An intergenerational ensemble tests the boundaries of teamwork and interplay. How does a group work? What unites us? What divides us? How can we reconcile diverse individual interests and accommodate personal needs? What kind of rules do we impose on ourselves to ensure success?
We have to be willing to cooperate and learn a lot – but also unlearn many things that stand in our way. That is hard work and demands a lot of energy. But if we can manage to overcome our differences, we have the power to unleash unimagined possibilities.
An intergenerational ensemble joins forces and puts the idea of community to the test.
“At Theater Marabu, ten people between the ages of nine and seventy have a playful go at juggling their own interests and the needs of others. … Exclusion, bullying, clique formation, personal vanity – groups are more complicated than they seem at first glance. … What makes it particularly enjoyable is the refreshing lightness with which the ensemble puts group processes on display for 60 minutes without a biting moral tone. This motley troupe has grown together into an ensemble that has fun and is fun to watch.” Bonner Generalanzeiger, arts section, from 15.03.22
