Die weltweite Bewegung 10children untersucht auf verschiedenen Kontinenten künstlerisch Kinderarmut. Überall entsteht ein Theaterstück, ein Dokumentarfilm und ein künstlerisches Projekt in Vernetzung mit Entscheidungsträger:innen. Welche Wirkung haben die Projekte? Die dreischrittige 10children-Methode wird in diesem Workshop unter Einbindung eigener Erfahrungen als Theaterschaffende konkret durchgeführt.

Liesbeth Coltof is an internationally respected theater director. She was the artistic director of one of the most important theater companies for children and young people in the Netherlands, the Toneelmakerij, and has received important prizes at home and abroad for her work. She has extensive experience in working in war zones and countries in conflict or poverty, such as in Palestine (Gaza), Nigeria, Russia and Iran. For her 'special merits of a very exceptional nature for society' she joined the Order of the Netherlands Lion as a Knight.
Vibhawari Deshpande, or Vibha, is a key Indian actor, writer, and director, notable for children's theatre. Her work extends beyond performance, encompassing playwriting, directing, and a strong commitment to socially relevant storytelling. For the past twelve years Vibha has been Part of the German-Indian Project Crossroads with Stefan Fischer-Fels, Ranga, and the German Authors Lutz Huebner and Sarah Nemitz. The three resulting Plays, have been successfully produced and performed in both India and Germany. With Ranga, she kept Grips Theatre movement going in India. The Rainbow Umbrella Foundation (RUF), which she co-founded, partnered with 10Children.org. Her recent plays “Sopa Nasta Kahi" and “Mag Tu Mala Kha” show her understanding of young minds and social realities. Vibha is now writing plays and films.is a dramaturg, theater teacher and policy advisor and was artistic director of Het Lab Utrecht, a theater organization where young professional theater makers worked for children and young people. He also set up several art festivals and was a youth theater specialist at the Theater Institute Netherlands for a long time, where he set up various international projects.
Shrirang 'Ranga' Godbole, a versatile Indian artist, excels in TV, cinema, and theatre. Starting as a stage actor in 1979, he's a noted lyricist, writer, director, and producer. A pivotal aspect of Ranga’s work is his dedication to children's theatre, particularly through the Indian Grips Theatre movement, when bringing "Chhan Chote Waitta Mothe" to India in 1986. Having partnered with 10children included four verticals: the production of a play, the creation of an art exhibition, the creation of a documentary film, and the holding of a conference on the central theme of poverty and girls. Ranga is currently working on a new play and a new film.
Faye Kabali-Kagwa
Curator, arts coordinator, writer , project coordinator, South Africa's Cradle of Creativity festival for children and young audiences - ASSITEJ South Africa.
Faye Kabali-Kagwa is a cultural curator, arts coordinator, and writer with a keen focus on youth voices. She is one of the co-curators for Theater der Welt 2026. In 2023 Faye was the curator for the Cradle of Creativity Festival, an international theatre festival for children and young audiences. In her work with ASSITEJ South Africa she runs the Unlocking Learners’ Creativity project in the Western Cape, as well as heading the 10Children project, amongst others.
