Thirteen performers take to a long catwalk where bodies, voices and beats converge. Music ranging from hip-hop and funk to soul and rock sets the rhythm of the evening, whilst spoken word and rap tell tales of struggle, joy and survival. The dance shifts between choreographed sequences and instinctive reactions, conveying both fear and the unifying power of shared movement. At its heart lies a call for community. Burning City confronts exclusion and celebrates collective presence. Inspired by cultural movements and political protests, the performance sees art as a form of resistance. Music, dance and spoken word merge into an energetic manifesto of activism, protest and solidarity.
