A time-travel adventure for everyone aged 8 and over
In the distant future, there will be just three people left on Earth. But the world has become uninhabitable. The water is poisoned, the earth is parched, the air is polluted. For the three of them, there is only one way out: back through time to the past, when everything must have been better. They end up in a place where nothing seems to be lacking, but something is wrong with the people here. Why does nobody have time? Why is it forbidden to play together? Why is nobody allowed to show compassion? And who is Mopscom, this mysterious ruler whom everyone seems to serve without question? The Armada Theatre embarks on a time-travel adventure featuring live music, blue-screen technology and puppetry, exploring power, critical thinking and the question of how we want to live together.
The Armada Theatre is an independent collective based in North Rhine-Westphalia, known for its unconventional stage productions that appeal to and engage everyone – children, teenagers and adults alike. Founded in 2013 by Clara Gohmert and Michael Zier, the group weaves together cinematic elements, puppet and object theatre, physical theatre and (live) music into absurdly entertaining stage performances centred on the pressing issues of our time: ecology, digitalisation, animal ethics and more. Conveying complex interrelationships with playful ease, the Armada draws the audience into miniature worlds crafted from upcycled materials, using plenty of humour, pop culture and live camera work.
