Friday, June 5, from 5 to 6 p.m. – Theater in der Meerwiese
Traditionally, awards are presented at the conclusion of the WESTWIND Festival: The Children’s Jury, the Youth Jury, and the Adult Jury announce which of the 10 NRW productions they experienced as a particularly special—and thus award-worthy, deserving of support, or memorable—moment. Each jury awards a prize of 3,333 euros, endowed by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Furthermore, together with the spokespersons of the NRW Working Group for Theater for Young Audiences, we will look back on our shared festival days; at the same time, we will cast a glance toward the future as we pass the baton to the Rheinische Landestheater Neuss, the Kulturforum Alte Post, and the Theater am Schlachthof Neuss for WESTWIND 2027!
Following the awards ceremony, WESTWIND invites everyone to enjoy some light refreshments.
